The Farmer’s Fatty is a non-competitive gravel ride brought to you by the team that produces the highly successful Farmer’s Daughter Gravel Grinder. The ride is designed to be an ideal early season training ride for the upcoming gravel season, and suitable for riding with gravel bikes, endurance bikes, XC bikes, fat bikes, even road bikes if weather conditions are right. It takes you through 25 miles of Rensselaer and Columbia Counties, almost entirely on dirt roads. You'll ride through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Northeast, with plenty of climbing, and plenty of fun descents to match. It’s an ideal training ride for upcoming events in the area including the Farmer’s Daughter Gravel Grinder, Tour of the Battenkill, Wilmington-Whiteface, etc., as well as for those of us wanting to start shedding the few pounds we may have gained from riding less over the winter! :)

The Farmer’s Fatty is hosted by S&S Farm Brewery at 174 Middle Rd. in Nassau, NY. There will be plenty of parking, room to get out of the weather (or to stay out in the weather if it’s warm and sunny), a food truck on premises for pre- and post-ride sustenance, a free pint of S&S beer for those 21 and older, and best of all, dirt road from the very start! There will be an aid station at the halfway point of the ride.

The first 100 registrants will also receive a commemorative cap.
